Atlet Taekwondo Kota Probolinggo Raih Juara Umum Kejurprov

portalbromo.com – Hari terakhir Kejuaraan Provinsi (Kejurprov) Taekwondo Jawa Timur tahun 2022 ditutup dengan kabar bahagia, kontingen Taekwondo Kota Probolinggo keluar sebagai juara umum dengan raihan 59 medali emas dan 56 medali perak. Sekda drg. Ninik Ira Wibawati menyerahkan langsung piala kepada perwakilan Pengurus Kota Taekwondo Indonesia (Pengkot TI) Probolinggo pada Minggu (27/3) malam, di GOR Mastrip.

Mewakili Wali Kota Probolinggo Habib Hadi Zainal Abidin, dalam sambutannya, Sekda Ninik mengucapkan selamat atas raihan prestasi yang telah diperoleh. “Adik-adik semuanya yang sudah juara saya ucapkan selamat, kemudian yang belum tingkatkan prestasi lagi, kedepan kita menjadi lebih baik, menjadi luar biasa,” ucap sekda.

Sekda Ninik juga sangat mendukung aktifitas seni bela diri taekwondo, pasalnya melalui olahraga ini bisa menjadi alternatif kegiatan anak-anak selain bermain gadget. “Karena saat ini semuanya adik-adik pasti sibuk dengan gadget, sibuk dengan games, dengan adanya olahraga taekwondo atau olahraga apapun itu, ini bisa mengalihkan perhatian kepada gadget dan games,” terangnya di depan atlet Taekwondo se-Jawa Timur.

Sebagai orang tertinggi dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan Kejurprov Taekwondo Jatim 2022, Lalu Purnawadi mengklaim kegiatan ini berlangsung dengan sukses. “Secara keseluruhan acara ini mungkin yang terbaik dari semua acara yang pernah ada, tetapi memang untuk Kejurprov, ini Kejurprov terbaik yang pernah ada, se-Jatim,” katanya.

Lalu, yang juga menjabat sebagai Ketua Pengkot TI Probolinggo mengaku bersyukur atas pencapaian target menjadi juara umum Kejurprov Taekwondo Jatim 2022. “Alhamdulillah, kita bisa menyisihkan kontingen-kontingen lain Kabupaten/Kota Pengkot/Pemkab dari daerah se-Jawa Timur, dengan 146 atlet, saingan terberat kami memang Kota Malang yang menurunkan 140 atlet,” ungkap Lalu.

Untuk tahun depan sekaligus menjawab permintaan dari Wali Kota Probolinggo saat pembukaan Kejurprov, Sabtu (26/3) kemarin, Ketua Pengkot TI mengaku siap untuk kembali menjadi tuan rumah . “Dan untuk tahun 2023 Insya Allah saya akan memikirkan konsep menjadi tuan rumah, mungkin akan ditingkatkan se-Jawa Bali atau kejurnas levelnya,” ucapnya.

Kesanggupan Pengkot TI Probolinggo untuk kembali menjadi tuan rumah di tahun depan juga didukung oleh Ketua Pengurus Provinsi Taekwondo Indonesia (Pengprov TI) Jawa Timur Muhammad Yusron. “Kami dari pengprov tadi sudah berbicara banyak dengan Ketua KONI Kota Probolinggo, termasuk Bapak wali kota kemarin sudah diumumkan, bahwa tahun 2023 kejurprov akan dilaksanakan kembali di Kota Probolinggo,” terang Yusron.

Salah satu atlet taekwondo Kota Probolinggo, Sahli yang meraih 2 medali emas, mengaku bangga atas pencapaian tertinggi di pertandingan kategori Kyorugi dan Poomsae. “Senang, senang banget, semoga di kejuaraan kedepan bisa dapat emas banyak buat Kota Probolinggo,” jelas atlet Taekwondo yang telah berlatih dari 3 tahun lalu itu.

Secara detail, juara umum 2 diraih oleh Kota Malang dengan 53 medali emas dan 67 medali perak, juara umum 3 diraih oleh Kabupaten SIdoarjo dengan 36 medali emas dan 25 medali perak. Selain itu juga diumumkan juara dari beberapa kategori diantaranya atlet dan coach terbaik. Mendampingi Sekda Ninik antara lain Plt. Kadispopar Fadjar Poernomo, Ketua KONI Rahadian Juniardi.
