Kunjungan Wisman ke Jatim Naik Hampir 12 Persen

Badan Pusat Statistika Provinsi Jawa Timur mengungkapkan, kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara (Wisman) yang datang ke Jawa Timur melalui pintu masuk Juanda pada Juni 2018 naik 11,91 persen dibanding bulan sebelumnya. Yaitu, dari 24.420 kunjungan pada Mei 2018 menjadi 27.329 kunjungan di bulan selanjutnya.

“Jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara ke Jawa Timur pada Juni 2018 sebanyak 27.329 kunjungan. Angka tersebut naik 11,91 persen dibandingkan bulan sebelumnya yang hanya 24.420 kunjungan,” kata Kepala BPS Jatim Teguh Pramono di Surabaya, Jumat (3/8).

Pun jika dibandingkan bulan yang sama tahun sebelumnya, jumlah wisman yang datang ke Jawa Timur mengalami kenaikan. Kenaikannyanya pun cukup signifikan, yakni sebesar 39,02 persen. Dimana pada Juni 2017, kunjungan Wisman ke Jatim hanya 19.658 kunjungan.

Bahkan, kata Teguh, perkembangan kunjungan Wisman di Jawa Timur dalam kurun waktu tiga tahun terakhir cenderung mengalami peningkatan. Hal tersebut salah satunya disebabkan banyaknya objek wisata baru yang menarik untuk dikunjungi. Selain itu, promosi pariwisata baik tempat, sarana akomodasi, maupun event-event yang dilakukan oleh dinas instansi terkait turut mendorong peningkatan tersebut.

Teguh melanjutkan, pola kedatangan wisatawan mancanegara ke Provinsi Jawa Timur selama Januari-Juni 2018 dibandingkan periode yang sama tahun 2016 maupun 2017 mengalami kenaikan. Hanya pada bulan Juni 2018, pola sedikit berbeda.

Di dua tahun sebelumnya, pada Juni biasanya kunjungan Wisman ke Jatim mengalami penurunan dibanding bulan sebelumnya. Namun tahun ini, pada Juni, kunjungan Wisman justru mengalami peningkatan dibandingkan Mei 2018.

Teguh memaparkan sepuluh negara asal wisatawan mancanegara terbanyak yang mendominasi kunjungan ke Provinsi Jawa Timur pada Juni 2018. Kesemua negara yang dimaksud yaitu Malaysia, Singapura, Tiongkok, Taiwan, Amerika Serikat, India, Jepang, Thailand, Korea Selatan, dan Hongkong.
