portalbromo.com – Banyak media memuat pemberitaan tentang penyebab banjir yang merendam ribuan warga di kecamatan Dringu beberapa hari lalu.

Berbagai sebab ditulis di pemberitaan, memang tidak ada yang salah namun beberapa pihak menyayangkan infomarsi yang disajikan hanya sepotong-sepotong, sehingga hal itu memunculkan opini yang berbeda di tengah publik.

Lebih miris lagi menjadikan warga terdampak sebagai tersangka musibah yang menjadi perhatian Pemkab Probolinggo hingga Propinsi tersebut.

Hal ini disampaikan MR (39) warga Dringu, Kecamatan Dringu. Pria yang enggan disebutkan namanya itu mengatakan, penyampaian yang hanya sepotong dari fakta yang sebenarnya menyebabkan tergiringnya pembaca pada ketersesatan dalam mengenyam informasi.

“Mereka yang memuat hanya sepotong-sepotong dari fakta yang sebenarnya bisa menggiring pembaca pada ketersesatan informasi” kata Mr, (3/3).

“Hal ini tak ubahnya seperti orang buta masuk ke kebun binatang sedang mencari se ekor gajah, kemudian dengan bangga si buta menyampaikan bahwa gajah itu bentuknya tipis dan lebar. Tidak salah apa yang disampaikan si buta, karena kebetulan yang dia pegang adalah telinganya, tapi kebenaran akan menjadi kliru ketika yang mendengar adalah orang yang tidak pernah melihat gajah, maka orang yang tidak tau itu akan menganggap bentuk gajah seperti kertas, kan kasihan” lanjutnya.

“Yang saya baca bukan Straight News lagi, tapi Explanatory News, ketika sudah pada rana berita penjelasan seharusnya lebih detail “. Ujar pria yang juga terdampak banjir itu.

Sambil duduk berkeringat usai membersihkan teras rumahnya yang penuh lumpur sisa banjir MR menjelaskan, tumpahnya air sungai Kedunggaleng ke pemukiman bukan kali pertama terjadi, hal itu sudah terjadi berpuluh-puluh tahun di setiap musim hujan.

Namun banjir di awal Maret tahun 2021 ini debit air yang meluber ke pemukiman cukup besar mencapai ketinggian hampir 2 meter di rumah warga. Hal itu disebabkan karena runtuhnya tebing penahan air (TPA) atau warga setempat biasa menyebutnya parapet yang ada di sempadan sungai.

Sedangkan runtuhnya parapet disebabkan beberapa hal, mulai dari limbah kimia dan sampah yang membuat tebing sungai rapuh dan gampang erosi, serta tidak adanya bangunan tembok penahan tanah (TPT) di sisi sungai.

“Banjir di Dringu sudah puluhan tahun lalu. Karena parapetnya ambrol air yang luber tidak terkontrol lagi. Ambrolnya parapet disebabkan banyak hal, di antaranya limbah, sampah, dan yang utama tidak adanya tebing penahan tanah di sisi kiri kanan sungai.”jelasnya.

MR melanjutkan, sungai kedunggaleng merupakan tampungan air dari banyak desa di dataran tinggi wilayah kabupaten Probolinggo, jika daerah dataran tinggi mengalami hujan lebat maka sungai akan menerima kiriman air dengan debit tinggi, maka secara otomatis Desa Dringu berpotensi banjir.

“Jika daerah atas awanya gelap dan diperkirakan hujan lebat, maka kita siap-siap untuk banjir, meski di sini sendiri tidak hujan sama sekali” lanjutnya.

Sama-sama melewati pemukiman warga, Mr membandingkan kondisi sungai Kedunggaleng berbeda dengan sungai yang ada di sepanjang jalan lumajang-Jember, menurutnya sungai yang melintasi dua kota itu terbangun tebing penahan tanah di dua sisinya, sehingga sempadan sungai terawat dengan baik.

“Coba kalau sampean ke arah Jember, dari terminal Lumajang belok kiri, di situ anda akan melihat sungai yang panjang mulai dari Lumajang sampai Jember, sungai sepanjang itu saja memiliki dua TPT di sisinya, di sini cuma berapa meter, tidak sampai dua kilo meter tapi belum ada” ujarnya sambil senyum.

” Seakan tidak pernah ada solusi, siapapun yang berkuasa, kami tetap kebanjiran” pungkasnya seakan ditujukan pihak tertentu.

Untuk diketahui, disebabkan hujan lebat terus menerus sejumlah desa di kabupaten Probolinggo mengalami kebanjiran, namun paling parah terjadi di desa Dringu kecamatan Dringu, selama dua hari berturut turut ( 28 Februari dan 1 Maret 2021) ketinggian air menggenangi rumah warga mencapai hampir dua meter, tidak ada korban jiwa, namun selain menyisahkan tumpukan lumpur, derasnya arus banjir mampu merobohkan sejumlah bangunan tembok milik warga.(mr)
