PORTAL BROMO | PROBOLINGGO – Bertempat di ruang pertemuan Sabha Bina Praja Pemkot Probolinggo, Kamis (25/10) di gelar acara Penandatanganan Kesepakatan Bersama Pemkot Probolinggo dengan PT. KTI (Kutai Timber Indonesia) terkait pengelolaan lingkungan.
Hadir dalam acara ini, Walikota Probolinggo Hj. Rukmini, Kepala DLH (Dinas Lingkungan Hidup) Budi Krisyanto, Direktur Utama PT. KTI Satoshi Kawanami serta beberapa tamu undangan.
Kepala DLH Budi Krisyanto menyampaikan, bahwa pemkot bersama pihak swasta dan masyarakat wajib menjalankan amanah UU No 32 tahun 2009 tentang perlindungan lingkungan hidup, pemkot berkewajiban lakukan peningkatan kualitas lingkungan, peran pihak swasta sangat besar salah satunya yaitu PT. KTI
“Sejak awal kontribusi pabrik yang beroperasi di bidang pengolahan kayu ini sangat besar turut serta bangun kota, aspek sosial maupun ekonomi dan lingkungan hidup, sejalan dengan itu PT. KTI wujudkan perusahaan yang ramah lingkungan,” paparnya
“Tujuan kerjasama ini sebagai media kerjasama PT. KTI dengan pemkot lakukan giat pengelolaan lingkungan hidup, pemanfaatan sumberdaya lokal, sumber mata air dan tempat penampungan sampah sementara, output kerjasama dapat mewujudkan peningkatan kualitas lingkungan hidup dikota probolinggo,” jelas Budi
Dalam kesempatan yang sama Satoshi Kawanami Direktur Utama PT. KTI katakan, dengan kesepakatan ini berharap bisa meningkatkan program masyarakat.
“Tidak hanya lingkungan juga merubah perekonomian masyarakat kota probolinggo, semoga dengan MOU ini dapat implementasi dengan baik dan menciptakan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat,” ujar Satoshi
Setelah teken tandatangan Walikota Probolinggo Rukmini katakan, pemkot dari waktu ke waktu meningkatkan tahap perekonomian masyarakat secara berkelanjutan, aspek sosial ekonomi dan lingkungan, maka pemkot harus berperan aktif dalam upaya perencanaan aktif pengendalian dan pengawasan lingkungan.
“Peran pihak swasta juga tidak kalah penting, salah satunya dengan program CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), CSR di sini sudah terbentuk forum, pada intinya bagaiamana perusahaan tanggung jawab kepada masyarakat dan lingkungan sekitar. CSR diatur dalam Perda No 5 tahun 2016,” tandas walikota.(wan)
