Jember – Di Kabupaten Jember, Jawa Timur, terdapat Kampung Suku Indian atau yang dikenal dengan Indian Camp. Tentu saja ini kawasan wisata yang segalanya ditata berbau Indian. Lokasinya di Desa Kotok, Kecamatan Kalisat, Kabupaten Jember, atau sekitar 25 kilometer dari Kota Jember.

Wahana wisata yang dikembangkan oleh Perusahaan Umum Perhutani Jember itu berada di kawasan hutan perkotaan dengan nuansa ala Suku Indian yang merupakan pemukiman pertama di Amerika.

Kampung Indian luasnya sekitar 7 hektare. Di dalamnya terdapat banyak hal yang didesain menyerupai permukiman suku Indian–lengkap dengan berbagai spot eksotis untuk swafoto atau selfie.

Kawasan di sekitar Kampung Indian itu sangat asri. Hutan ditata rapi dengan pepohonan pinus yang menghampar hijau. Di sela-selanya terdapat dekorasi Suku Indian yang menjadi daya tarik utama. Tentunya sejumlah spot unik nan menarik menjadi bidikan wisatawan untuk berfoto.

Agar lebih lengkap, pengunjung bisa menyewa kostum ala Suku Indian dengan sejumlah ornamen dan perlengkapan, seperti busur, panah, kapak, serta bulu-bulu untuk penutup kepala yang disediakan oleh pengelola. Mereka bisa berkeliling hutan dengan mengenakan kostum tersebut seakan menjadi orang Indian.

Selain berfoto-foto, wisatawan juga bisa berkeliling areal hutan pinus yang sejuk dan masih asri. Jangan lupa mencoba sensasi meniti jembatan kayu bernama Jembatan Cinta di tengah hutan belantara dengan bergaya ala Suku Indian.

Untuk masuk wisata ke Kampung Indian ini, pengunjung hanya dikenai biaya Rp 3 ribu per orang. Kepala Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Jember, Arif Tjahyono, mengatakan jumlah objek wisata di Kabupaten Jember terus meningkat selama lima tahun terakhir.

Tahun 2012 masih tercatat sekitar 30 objek wisata yang tersebar di sejumlah kecamatan. “Namun tahun ini sudah mencapai 90 lebih objek wisata yang tersebar hampir merata di 31 kecamatan di Jember,” kata dia.

Menurut Arif, bertambahnya jumlah objek wisata di Jember ini berdampak pada peningkatan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan, baik domestik maupun mancanegara.

Wisatawan singgah untuk melihat salah satu tujuan wisata di kabupaten yang dikenal dengan Kota Karnaval Dunia berkat Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) itu.
