“Dalam buku ini tertulis, bahwa Pancasila lahir dari pemikiran Bung Karno yang kemudian disampaikan pertama kalinya dalam pidato sidang BPUPKI pada 1 Juni 1945. Meski kalimat yang ditulis dengan ejaan lama, dan struktur yang rumit tapi isinya jika dipelajari sungguh-sungguh tentang demokrasi yang menjadi dasar negara kita,” tegas Habib Hadi.
Wali kota mengaku mengagumi pidato Bung Karno yang tertulis dalam buku tersebut. “Luar biasa, buku ini menceritakan sejarah dan kita bisa mengetahui tentang falsafah Pancasila yang menjadi dasar negara kita. Menjadi pembelajaran lebih mengerti tentang lahirnya Pancasila,” imbuhnya, Senin (31/5) malam.
Ya, karena buku cetakan khusus ke 153 yang diterbitkan pada tahun 1960 dan terbilang langka. Agar tetap terjaga, Wali Kota Habib Hadi menyarankan kepada cucu pemilik buku sejarah itu untuk segera di-restorasi di Kantor Perpustakaan dan Arsip Kota Probolinggo. (fam/mr)
