Probolinggo, portalbromo.com – Memperingati Hari Krida Pertanian ke 47, Dinas Pertanian dan Ketahanan Pangan (KP) Kota Probolinggo menggelar potensi produk unggulan daerah dan olahan hasil pertanian, Kamis (18/7). Selain sarasehan, pameran dan lomba, Wakil Wali Kota Probolinggo Mochammad Soufis Subri juga petik anggur varietas unggulan.
Pada kesempatan itu juga diserahkan hadiah lomba gelar potensi produk unggulan daerah dan olahan hasil pertanian. Juara I diraih Gapoktan Wonoasih; Juara II Gapoktan Al Barokah (Kanigaran); Juara III Gapoktan Demang Jaya (Kademangan); Juara Harapan I Gapoktan Permata Indah (Kedopok) dan Juara Harapan II Gapoktan Sido Muncul (Mayangan).
Sedangkan pemenang lomba olahan pangan Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) kategori makanan atau olahan basah adalah KWT Kalimas dari Poh Sangit Kidul, KWT Makmur Jaya dari Triwung Kidul dan KWT Mekar Jaya dari Ketapang. Untuk kategori makanan atau olahan kering adalah KWT Progo Jaya dari Jrebeng Kulon, KWT Srikandi dari Kebonsari Kulon dan peringkat terakhir KWT Bangu Jaya dari Sumbertaman. Juara favorit diraih oleh KWT Sahabat Tani dari Kedungasem.
Sementara itu, pemenang lomba ketahanan pangan berprestasi kategori lestari dimenangi Karang Kitri tahun 2016 RW 7 RT 2 Kelurahan Pakistaji Kecamatan Wonoasih. Kategori mandiri adalah Karangkitri 2018 RW 2 RT 5 Kelurahan Mayangan Kecamatan Mayangan. Di kategori pengembangan dijuarai KRPL Mentari 2018 RW 4 RT 3 Kelurahan Pilang Kecamatan Kademangan.
“Peringatan Hari Krida Pertanian adalah momen bagi yang terlibat dalam usaha pertanian untuk ungkapkan syukur atas hasil yang diperoleh. Saat mengevaluasi kekurangan dan menyusun rencana agar memperoleh hasil yang baik ke depan,” kata Kepala Dinas Pertanian dan KP, Sukarning Yuliastuti.
Dengan menggali potensi produk unggulan yang dimiliki Kota Probolinggo, lanjut Ning-sapaan akrabnya, dapat memacu petani untuk memberikan nilai tambah dan daya saing prioritas pertanian melalui perbaikan kualitas produk. “Serta mendukung ketahanan pangan melalui olahan pangan. Kami melibatkan gapoktan, kelompok wanita tani, bulog, petromikia,” jelasnya.
Wawali Subri menyampaikan ucapan selamat kepada para pemenang sejumlah lomba dalam rangkaian Hari Krida Pertanian di tahun 2019. Dalam kesempatan itu, wawali berpesan kepada para petani segera mempelajari teknologi. Sehingga tidak ada kata telat dalam mengantisipasi teknologi pertanian yang semakin berkembang.
“Ciptakan iklim yang produktif agar anak muda tertatik di sektor pertanian. Diakui atau tidak, lahan pertanian semakin sempit dan semakin habis. Tumbuhkan keinginan anak-anak muda jadi tertarik di sektor ekonomi pertanian,” tutur Subri.
Kota Probolinggo memiliki potensi produk unggulan baik pangan atau hortikultura, misalnya padi, jagung dan bawang. Pemerintah pun telah melakukan pembinaan sarana prasana untuk peningkatan hasil pertanian tersebut.(red/hms)
