PORTALBROMO.COM – Sedia payung sebelum hujan, Pemerintah Kota Probolinggo siapkan tempat pemakaman mengantisipasi pandemi COVID-19. Meski belum ada kasus pasien meninggal.

Calon Tempat Pemakaman Umum (TPU) tersebut berlokasi di Kopian Barat Kelurahan Ketapang, Kecamatan Kademangan.

Wali Kota Habib Hadi ZA tinjau lokasi secara langsung bersama Wawali MS Subri, Kapolresta AKBP Ambariyadi Wijaya dan Dandim 0820 Letkol Inf Imam Wibowo.

Sebelum rencana kunjungan Walikota, Heri Purbaya, Ketua RW setempat menegaskan, bahwa masyarakat setuju dan tidak keberatan atas rencana itu. “Insyaallah respons masyarakat tidak ada masalah. Apalagi, ini tanah pemkot jadi pemkot pun punya hak,” ujarnya

Sesuai pengamatan media ini, TPU calon pemakaman pasien Covid-19 ini cukup jauh dari pemukiman warga, sehingga ideal pemilihanya jika lokasinya disini.

Sementara itu walikota menyampaikan, kami berdoa warga kota sehat, yang sakit segera sehat kembali. Mudah-mudahan ini menjadi perhatian kita semua bahwa masyarakat harus waspada, disiplin dan ikuti anjuran pemerintah,” pintanya

Lebih lanjut walikota mengaku optimistis, Kota Probolinggo dapat menunjukkan masyarakatnya yang sangat luar biasa. “Karena yang meninggal karena COVID 19 ini bukan aib, tapi musibah. Yang meninggal ini insyaallah syahid sebagai muslim,” pungkasnya.(wn/mr)
