Acara ini dihadiri dari Muspika antara lain Kapolsek, Danramil, Sekcam Sumber, Kades Wonokerso dan Kades Ledok Ombo serta Pengurus dan anggota LMDH Subur Makmur (Desa Wonokerso) dan LMDH Ganesa (Desa Ledok Ombo). Sedangkan dari jajaran Perhutani KPH Probolinggo dihadiri oleh Administratur, Pabin Jagawana, Danru Polhutmob dan anggota, KSS HKKPS, KSS Komper dan staf, Asper Sukapura, KRPH Wonokerso dan KRPH Sumber.

Lahan sayuran berupa Bawang Pring, Kobis dan Kentang yang tumbuh subur di petak 1c dan 69a RPH Wonokerso, BKPH Sukapura merupakan kawasan Hutan Lindung (HL) dimana tanaman kehutanannya (Ecalyptus dan Cemara) pertumbuhannya sangat lambat dibanding tanaman sayuran.

Tanaman sayuran lebih dominan dibanding tanaman kehutanannya, sehingga dipandang perlu untuk menutup sementara tanaman sayuran untuk mengembalikan fungsi hutan lindung seperti semula dengan menggiatkan penanaman Ecalyptus dan Cemara secara intensif.

Petak 1c seluas 82,86 Ha masuk Desa Wonokerso, Kecamatan Sumber, Kabupaten Probolinggo merupakan wengkon dari Lembaga Masyarakat Desa Hutan (LMDH) Subur Makmur, sedangkan petak 69a seluas 41,39 Ha masuk Desa Ledok Ombo, Kecamatan Sumber, Kabupaten Probolinggo merupakan wengkon dari LMDH Ganesa.

Setelah disepakati bersama antara Perhutani dan petani penggarap yang tergabung di kedua lembaga yaitu LMDH Subur Makmur dan LMDH Ganesa, bahwa tanaman sayuran yang masih tersisa/tanaman muda, diberi batas waktu sampai panen yakni selambat-lambatnya 4 bulan untuk segera dilakukan penanaman maupun penyulaman dengan tanaman kehutanan (Ecalyptus dan Cemara).

Administratur Perhutani KPH Probolinggo, Ida Jatiyana, S.Hut. seusai penutupan lahan sayuran mengatakan, bahwa penutupan lahan yang digarap oleh masyarakat Desa Wonokerso dan Desa Lodok Ombo bukan bermaksud mau mematikan mata pencaharian petani sayuran sekitar hutan.

“Tujuan penutupan lahan sayuran ini adalah mengembalikan fungsinya kembali seperti semula yakni sebagai hutan lindung terutama di petak 1c dan 69a tersebut  guna meminimalisir dari bahaya bencana banjir dan longsor disaat musim penghujan”
