Probolinggo, Portalbromo.com – Peringati Hari Krida pertanian ke 47 , pemerintah kota Probolinggo melalui Dinas Pertanian dan Ketahanan Pangan ( Disperta & KP) gelar Upaya Khusus Percepatan Populasi Sapi dan Kerbau Bunting (Upsus Siwab) dan lomba burung berkicau tropi walikota cup di lapangan Karya Bakti Yon Zipor 10 Probolinggo, Minggu (21/7).
Upsus Siwab merupakan program pemerintah dalam upaya membawa Indonesia sebagai bangsa berswasembada sapi pada tahun 2026, program ini sekaligus untuk mengakselerasi percepatan target pemenuhan populasi sapi potong dalam negeri. Upsus Siwab mencakup dua program utama yaitu peningkatan populasi melalui Inseminasi Buatan (IB) dan Intensifikasi Kawin Alam (Inka).
Tampak hadir di lokasi, walikota Probolinggo Hadi Zainal Abidin, Ketua DPRD kota Probolinggo Rudyanto Gaffur, kepala dinas pertanian Sukarning Yuliastuti, sejumlah OPD dan tamu undangan.
Dalam sambutannya walikota Probolinggo menyampaikan bahwa langkah menuju swasembada sapi masih ada beberapa kendala, sala satu contoh adalah pedagang sapi yang memilih sapi betina sebagai komoditas daganganya untuk meraup untung lebih.
“masih ada kendala dalam meningkatkan populasi sapi, sala satunya tukang jagal sapi, saat tau sapi betinanya gemuk dijual untuk meraup untung lebih, jadi ini perlu ada kontrol” kata habib (red: sapaan akrab walikota Probolinggo)
Menurutnya hal ini dia (red: walikota Probolinggo) ketahui karena dia juga sebagai pedagang sapi.
“Saya tau karena saya juga pedagang sapi, sejak tahun 1990 sampai sekarang masih dagang sapi, kalau tahun 1991 hingga 2002 saya sering ke pasar, alhamdulillah sampai sekarang saya masih punya sekitar 200 ekor” aku Habib.
Untuk mengatasi permasalan itu, pria yang juga pengasuh pondok pesantren Riyadlus Sholihin Ketapang, Probolinggo itu akan segera menggelar pertemuan dengan para pedagang sapi.
“Segera kita akan mengundang para pedagang sapi untuk membicarakan hal ini”. Ucapnya.
Habib juga menceritakan pengalamannya saat masih aktif keluar masuk pasar berdagang sapi, hingga pernah dua kali tertipu karena membeli sapi saat tengah malam.
Belajar dari pengalamanya, habib ingin menerapkan kebijakan pembatasan waktu jual beli sapi tidak boleh sampai malam hari, sebagai ganti akan ada penambahan hari pasaran sapi dalam seminggu.
“Saya dua kali tertipu karena membeli sapi di waktu tengah malam, ada yang ekornya palsu, ada yang perutnya kembung sebelah, jadi nanti saya akan buat kebijakan pembatasan waktu jual beli sapi, tidak boleh transaksi sapi sampai malam”.
“Namun hari pasaran sapi akan kita tambah, jika sekarang dalam seminggu dua kali, akan ditambah menjadi tiga kali dalam seminggu”. Lanjutnya.
Kepala dinas Pertanian dan Ketahanan Pangan kota Probolinggo menambahkan, sala satu tujuan kegiatan ini ( red: Upsus Siwab) untuk memotivasi peternak dan pelaku usaha.
“Kegiatan ini untuk memotivasi para peterbak dan pelaku usaha, baik secara individu maupun kelompok, sekaligus sebagai wadah untuk promosi para peternak guna menunjukkan hasil ternaknya” ujarnya.
“Selain itu juga untuk meberikan penghargaan dan hadia kepada para peternak yang telah melaksanakan pemeliharaan induk sapi secara terus menerus”. Lanjut Perempuan yang di bulan Agustus mendatang memasuki masa persiapan pensiun itu.
Kegiatan yang akan digelar selama dua hari ( 21-22) itu dibuka langsung walikota Probolinggo, lombah Kicau burung perebutan tropi walikota cup tanpa uang pendaftaran alias gratis menjadi pembuka acara peringatan hari besar pertanian se Indonesia tersebut.
Untuk diketahui Hari Krida Pertanian adalah hari besar bagi pertanian yang diadakan setahun sekali di Indonesia. Hari ini diperingati oleh tokoh-tokoh pertanian, peternakan, para pegawai dan pengusaha di dalam pertanian dan perkebunan pada tanggal 21 Juni.(wm)
