portalbromo.com – Wali Kota Habib Hadi Zainal Abidin mengutarakan pentingnya untuk memberikan pemahaman tanggap bencana kepada masyarakat. Hal ini diutarakan saat Sosialisasi Tanggap Bencana “Sigap dan Tanggap terhadap Tanda-tanda Bencana Alam” di Orin Hall, Jumat (2/7). Acara ini diinisiasi oleh Pokmas Lentera Kelurahan Curahgrinting, Kecamatan Kanigaran Kota Probolinggo.

Wali kota mengingatkan pada bulan Februari dan Maret lalu, Probolinggo diterjang banjir bandang yang menimbulkan dampak kerugian besar, baik fisik maupun meninggalkan rasa trauma. Selanjutnya bulan April dan Mei terjadi gempa di Selat Pulau Jawa sehingga dirasakan sampai di Kota Probolinggo.

“Istilah bencana harus menjadikan sigap dalam menghadapi situasi yang ada. Kesigapan itu harus kita tanamkan sejak dini bahwasanya apabila kita lengah, teledor, tidak mawas diri dalam menghadapi situasi kondisi darurat apa pun, kita sendiri yang akan merasakan kerugian atau dampaknya,” bebernya.

Lebih lanjut, Habib Hadi mencontohkan perlunya kita melihat titik aman juga wilayah yang berpotensi menimbulkan dampak bencana. “Begitu ada persoalan bencana harus kita menjadikan potensi apa langkah ke depan supaya jika itu terjadi (bencana) lagi tidak ada dampak yang merugikan kita semua atau pun korban jiwa, dan lain-lainnya,” serunya.

Tak hanya bencana alam saja yang diulas Habib Hadi, bencana non alam seperti COVID 19 pun tak luput menjadi bahan arahannya dihadapan 90 orang yang hadir siang itu. Wali kota didampingi Kasatpol PP Aman Suryaman dan Camat Kanigaran Agus Rianto, berpesan kepada peserta sosialisasi untuk terus lebih disiplin dalam menerapkan prokes karena ia menilai virus tahun ini lebih berbahaya ketimbang tahun lalu.

“Mudah-mudahan yang ikut di sini khususnya di Kelurahan Curahgrinting menjadi orang-orang yang tangguh dan menjadi andalan untuk membantu sesamanya dalam situasi dan kondisi apa pun,” harapnya.

Dalam giat itu, Pokmas Lentera Kelurahan Curahgrinting mengundang Lurah Curahgrinting, Ketua PKK Kecamatan Kanigaran dan Ketua TP PKK Kelurahan Curahgrinting, dan jajarannya, Babinsa dan Babhinkamtibas setempat, LPM, dan unsur kemasyarakatan lainnya.
