Dalam sambutannya Menteri BUMN, Erick Thohir, menyampaikan terimakasih kepada Mbah Imah atas perjuangannya. “Kita harus berkaca kepada Ibu Imah yang memberi semangat dan inspirasi kepada kita semua. Ibu Imah bisa, kita tentu juga bisa”, ungkapnya.
Mbah Imah merupakan nasabah Mekaar cabang Kapongan yang sudah tergabung sejak tahun 2017. Dalam kesehariannya sebelum pandemi, Mbah Ima berjualan jajanan di salah satu sekolah dasar yang terdapat di sekitar rumahnya. Namun, selama pandemi sekolah tersebut melaksanakan pembelajaran jarak jauh dan murid-murid belajar dari rumah. Oleh sebab itu, penyerahan bantuan berupa gerobak warung Mekaar ini diharapkan dapat membantu Mbah Imah agar dapat tetap berjualan di depan rumah. Penyerahan bantuan dilakukan secara langsung di rumah Mbah Imah, di desa Peleyan Timur, Kapongan.
Kegigihan dan semangat Mbah Imah ditengah keterbatasan yang dimilikinya menjadi salah satu gambaran ketangguhan nasabah PNM Mekaar yang berdaya juang tinggi dan pantang menyerah menghadapi berbagai situasi. Mbah Imah memegang prinsip bahwa semua bisa terlaksana asalkan ada kemauan yang kuat dari dalam dirinya untuk bisa berjuang dan berubah untuk menjadi lebih baik.
Penyerahan bantuan ini merupakan salah satu bentuk implementasi Program Tanggung Jawab Sosial Lingkungan (TJSL) yang dilakukan PNM untuk pengembangan usaha nasabah PNM Mekaar. Sebagai BUMN yang mengemban tugas khusus dalam memberdayakan pelaku usaha ultra mikro dan UMKM, PNM secara berkesinambungan melaksanakan kegiatan tanggung jawab sosial baik kepada nasabah maupun pihak lain yang membutuhkan.
Hingga Desember 2020 PNM telah menyalurkan pembiayaan sebesar Rp 24,349 triliun kepada nabasah PNM Mekaar yang berjumlah 7,8 juta nasabah. Saat ini PNM memiliki lebih dari 3.300 kantor layanan di seluruh Indonesia yang melayani UMK di 34 Provinsi, 439 Kabupaten/Kota, dan 4.450 Kecamatan.(mr)
